The evening of December 26th, the urgent care doctor told Mother that she "either has had a stroke or has a tumor." She was at the medical clinic because she'd been having problems with word-finding and just seemed a little off-kilter. They confirmed that these are NOT Alzheimer's symptoms (which delighted her) but that she has a very large brain tumor, like what Ted Kennedy had. (She was pleased to be in his camp!) In the pre-dawn hours of March 3, 2010, Jane passed away.
